Leveraging the proven Qualitrol IDM+ multifunction monitor and HSM Request Processor software, the system delivers fast, accurate insight into grid performance in both operational and post-contingency timeframes. With compatibility across legacy and current infrastructure, the HSM solution enhances grid observability and supports oscillatory stability monitoring at scale.

Oscillatory Stability Monitoring

The HSM system complements AEMO’s existing oscillatory stability tools by delivering high-speed, time-synchronised data that helps identify small signal oscillations and other stability risks in the network. This supports proactive interventions and improved system resilience.

Power System Disturbance Recording

HSM enables detailed tracking of power system disturbances such as voltage dips, frequency deviations, and transient faults. With high-speed and continuous data streams, it provides valuable insights for post-event analysis, compliance, and root cause identification.

 

 

Transmission Network Oversight

HSM supports TNSPs in meeting regulatory monitoring obligations by offering detailed visibility into their assets and connection points. Its ability to work across both IDM+ and legacy IDM fleets allows seamless integration with existing monitoring infrastructure.

 

 

 

 

AEMO-Compatible Data Exchange

Through the HSM Request Processor, utilities can meet AEMO’s conformance requirements for continuous and triggered data reporting. The system supports all required schema commands (23 & 26), ensuring timely, accurate, and standardised data delivery in XML and Comtrade formats.
