Application Overview
Lignostone® laminates are widely used across electrical, transformer, switchboard and cryogenic applications. Grade‑specific formulations allow Lignostone® to perform reliably in oil‑filled transformers, air‑insulated switchboards and extreme cryogenic environments where both load‑bearing capability and insulation performance are critical.

Key Technical Specifications
- Densified laminated wood impregnated with phenolic resin
- Density range: approx. 1.1 – 1.37 g/cm³
- High compressive and flexural strength
- Electrical strength up to approx. 70 kV / 25 mm
- Continuous operating temperatures up to ~105 °C (higher during drying)
- Cryogenic temperature range: –196 °C to +90 °C (cryogenic grade)
- Low moisture absorption and good oil absorption (transformer grades)
