Transformer Monitoring
Advanced Transformer Monitoring Solutions
Insulect’s transformer monitoring solutions provide utilities and asset owners with real‑time visibility into transformer health, helping prevent failures, extend asset life, and enable smarter, data‑driven maintenance. Using proven Qualitrol hardware and analytics, these systems monitor the key components and failure modes that impact transformer reliability.

Application Overview
Transformer monitoring applies to transmission, distribution, generation, and industrial environments where uninterrupted power supply and asset longevity are critical. Our monitoring packages—Core, Pro, and Elite—cover a wide range of transformer types and sizes. Each package tracks key factors such as temperature, dissolved gases, moisture, cooling performance, LTC operation, vibration, and partial discharge, providing a view into transformer condition and developing faults long before they result in outages.
What We Solve For
Features & Functionality

Our systems track a wide range of parameters—hotspot temperature, oil temperature, voltage, current, moisture‑in‑oil, hydrogen, multi‑gas DGA, LTC behaviour, cooling operation, and more—to provide a complete picture of transformer health.

Advanced analytics identify issues such as eddy losses, overheating, contact degradation, partial discharge, insulation deterioration, and moisture‑related aging before they escalate. This supports early warning alarms and predictive maintenance planning.

Three tiers—Core, Pro, and Elite—allow customers to match monitoring to asset criticality. The Elite package includes full coverage of LTC, windings, core, cooling system, tank, and insulation, monitoring 100% of known transformer failure modes.
