Qualitrol TWS FL Travelling Wave Fault Location Monitor
Qualitrol TWS FL Travelling Wave Fault Location Monitor
Qualitrol TWS FL-1 and TWS FL-8 fault location devices provide extremely precise fault location on multiple transmission lines.
The highly accurate travelling wave technology enables operation and maintenance engineers to respond rapidly to events and correct defects at minimum cost and maximum efficiency.
Qualitrol TWS FL-1 and FL-8 are used for fault location on interconnected overhead lines where high availability is important. These devices deliver accurate, consistent results for all types of faults, quickly displayed in a control room or engineering centre where it is needed to direct maintenance teams and reduce downtime.
Travelling Wave by Qualitrol:
the most accurate fault location system
TWS FL-1 for monitoring a single transmission line.
TWS FL-8 for monitoring faults on 2, 4, 6 or 8 circuits.
With Travelling Wave (TWS) Fault Location techniques, operators can pinpoint faults to within one tower accuracy - something far beyond traditional impedance methods.
QUALITROL TWS FL FEATURES
Best accuracy to ± 60 meters]independent of impedance methods
Reduce downtime by getting to the fault site faster
Track intermittent self clearing faults and focus maintenance at the right spot to prevent a major breakdown
Flexible communications
Accurate results from circuit trips automatically displayed in the dispatch centre within minutes of the event
Maintenance crews alerted by email notification
Display, keypad and USB port allow more interaction with the device
Modular, reliable hardware
