The upcoming Australian Energy Week (AEW) introduces the Electrical Engineering Forum 2019 which is being held in conjunction with AEW. Development of the forum drew on advice from electrical industry experts in the field of asset, engineering and operations management and centres around ‘overcoming today’s big energy challenges with technical solutions’. This year’s TechCon 2019 looks to be a dynamic one with the theme of ‘LIFE-MANAGEMENT OF HV AND MV POWER EQUIPMENT’. Topics to be presented range ‘from practical case studies to the latest research on asset management strategies for aging electrical grid infrastructure.’ With power and distribution transformers acknowledged as key components requiring asset management strategies in our electrical industry, it is fitting that Midel natural ester transformer fluids are co-sponsors of the event.
The Australasian Universities Power Engineering Conference is the top conference in power engineering in Australia, South East Asia and New Zealand.
Around the theme of adaptation to a transformed industry, the conference aims to look at the ‘experience of businesses’ in relation to the ‘new types of generation and storage developments’ and gauge the impact of the changes. This is an opportunity for energy industry suppliers and service providers to engage with presenters and related attendees.
Delegate registrations will open on June 20, 2016, to Australia’s single largest, free clean and renewable energy conference and exhibition, All-Energy Australia.More than 150 industry speakers are lined up for this year’s All-Energy Australia, covering seven first-rate conference streams including smart grids, off-grid solutions, community energy, investment opportunities, electric cars, bioenergy and wave energy technology.
Informa Australia, together with Reneweconomy, will host the 2nd annual Disruption and the Energy Industry Conference, to be held in Sydney. The event will cover key topics such as the major implications for the growth of solar and energy storage, power purchase agreements and new “disruptive” channels to market. Energy storage is the game changer in the home energy system and is fundamentally transforming the energy sector and changing the way the world uses energy.
This conference will cover the AS 2067 HV standard which provides minimum requirements for the design and installation of high voltages above 1kV (ac) so as to provide safe functioning in operation. A new edition of AS 2067 is soon to be released and represents some significant amendments that should be of interest to anyone involved in high voltage substations and installations.
