The Tallawarra Power Station project involved the supply of critical electrical equipment to support upgrades at this major energy facility. The team was also tasked with delivering a specialised device for frequency control and ancillary service monitoring.
This project presented unique challenges and opportunities for Insulect to demonstrate its adaptability, efficiency and cost-optimisation strategies. Insulect took a distinct to this project given the clients unique needs, by shipping the entire cubicle containing the IDM Plus device from their Belfast, UK facility to the customer in Australia, deviating from the usual practice of shipping only the device and leaving cubicle assembly to the EPC contractor.
This project demanded a dedicated cubicle for the IDM Plus device, as opposed to the usual practice of housing multiple devices in a single cubicle, showcasing Insulect’s flexibility and attention to detail. Despite the additional shipping costs, the decision to assemble and ship the complete cubicle from Belfast was more cost-effective than local assembly in Australia.
Insulect’s successful completion of the Tallawarra project highlighted their problem-solving skills and dedication to providing tailored solutions that meet customer needs. This project exemplifies Insulect’s adaptability, cost-optimisation strategies, and commitment to delivering innovative solutions.
